General Programs
Nature Journaling
Led by Mary Seabourn, this program offers the opportunity to dive in deep with your observations of the more-than-human world. Each session will include time out on the trails, time to reflect, write, and sketch about what you notice, and time for optional sharing and group discussion. Participants can join the group at any time.
Book Club
This group meets monthly to discuss books focused on nature, the environment, and conservation. The book list for the year is decided in December, but people can join the group at any time.
Full Moon Walks
Full Moon Walks take place every month on the full moon (with the exception of June and July). This is an opportunity to experience the nocturnal sights and sounds of Oxley in small, guided groups.
Birding Walks
All ages and skill levels are welcome for this free drop-in Birding Walk, guided by a staff naturalist and held on the first Saturday of the month year-round. Bring binoculars if you have them! We also participate in the Christmas Bird count and other birding activities (visit the Community Science page for more info).
Wildflower Walks
Butterfly Walks
From April through October, join us on the fourth Saturday of the month for a guided Butterfly Walk to see how many different species we can identify. We also participate in the seasonal North American Butterfly Association counts (visit the Community Science page for more info).
Discovery Walks
Archery
Led by Josh Smith, Outdoor Archery is great for beginning and intermediate archers. All supplies are included and anyone over 7 years old can participate. Over Spring Break, we will offer daily introductory sessions.
