Youth Programs

Junior Naturalists

This program, designed and led by Mary Seabourn, inspires and cultivates a love of nature for 8–12 year-old people. Registration opens in August, and each group meets one Saturday per month from September – May.

Little Seedlings

Lisa Cobb leads this program for curious little nature-lovers (ages 1-5) and their caregivers. Each session includes a craft and a guided trail walk to explore the theme of the month. The themes for this fall are Monarch Migration (September), Bats are Helpers (October), and Mushrooms in the Woods (November).

Nature Story Times

This program is designed for children ages 0-8 and their caregivers. Each session includes stories, songs, movement, and parent education, followed by an optional group nature walk. Offered in partnership with Early Learning Works Talking is Teaching, participants take home free books!

We offer a Wednesday session and a Thursday session each month. Please visit the calendar section of the website for the schedule and registration links.

Green Teens

This is a great opportunity for eco-conscious teens! Participants will learn about the local environment, implement self-directed conservation projects, and occasionally serve as mentors for the Junior Naturalists. The group will meet on the second Saturday of the month, September through May.
